While it’s comprised of 66 books and hundreds of pages of small print, God’s message is simple: Love and be loved. Yet as humans, this Love is one we do not possess naturally. It’s a Love begotten of the Father, made flesh in the Son, indwelled by the Holy Spirit, and manifest in the natural by surrender to the supernatural. This Love is not bound by emotion, this Love is boundless for eternity.

Oswald Chambers once wrote, “Even the natural heart of the unsaved will serve if called upon to do so, but it takes a heart broken by conviction of sin, baptized by the Holy Spirit, and crushed into submission to God’s purpose to make a person’s life a holy example of God’s message.”

To become a holy example of God’s message, we must cleanse the temple of our hearts and minds through conviction that leads to repentance, be washed in the Spirit, and walk heaven bound in our broken submission to a Holy God. Then we can start to really understand what it means to be loved unconditionally and sacrificially by Love Himself.

Are you struggling today in your journey of faith? Is your mind plagued by doubt? Are you questioning whether Jesus is really enough? Do you crave change, but old habits die hard? Are you trapped by the limits of your love for others?

Remember there are 66 books in the Bible that show us countless individuals who struggled with the same problems. You are not alone. Yet God’s whisper of a Message from Genesis to Revelation is, “I love you. You can trust Me”.

My friend, do you want to be the Message today? Do you want to start living in the light of His love for you?

If so, here are three areas of your life to consider as you pray and listen to your Heavenly Father.

Be Convinced.

Know that you know that you know that God is who He says He is. Many incredibly intelligent minds have gone before us to disprove that Jesus is God’s Son, that He died on the cross as the final atoning sacrifice for our sins, was buried and rose again, fully man, yet fully God, and Savior of the world. Most of these great minds are now believers! They are convinced. The evidence is real both historically and in the transformed lives of millions of Christians. Seek Him first and prepare to be convinced.

Be Satisfied.

Jesus is truly enough. The longings and cravings we experience on a human level are truly for a heavenly home. But the Devil has tempted us to fill those cravings with anything and everything but Jesus. Food, alcohol, drugs, entertainment, power, money, vacation, significance, fame, lust, attention, acceptance, and human love are all poor substitutes for the love of Christ. He satisfies more than your OCD habits, your addictive high, and your endless search for relief. Seek Him first and prepare to be satisfied.

Be Changed.

This may be one of the trickiest areas in a Christian’s life. If we are honest with ourselves, submerged in our selfie obsessed society, we are actually sick and tired of ourselves. Every single one of us can name at least one thing we want to change about ourselves. While we spend lots of money and time changing the exterior, only God can change the interior life. He’s just waiting for your permission. Perhaps by not changing your circumstances, God is waiting for you to allow Him to change you. Seek Him first and prepare to be changed.

So as you ponder and pray, ask God to help you be convinced in your mind, satisfied in your spirit, and changed in your nature. The exterior will fade and emotions will flounder. Let God love you and be the Message in mind, spirit, and nature.
