In Philippians 2, Paul writes that Jesus emptied himself. The One by whom all things were made and find their being. The One in whom all things are held together and the fullness of God was pleased to dwell. The One through whom we are reconciled to God and made holy and blameless in His sight. The One who made peace by the blood of His cross.
This One emptied himself, for you and for me.
“Have this mind among yourselves, which is yours in Christ Jesus, who, though he was in the form of God, did not count equality with God a thing to be grasped, but emptied himself, by taking the form of a servant, being born in the likeness of men.”
(Philippians 2:5-7 ESV)
If this Trinity of One emptied himself for his birth in human likeness, how much more empty are you and me without Him? How much deeper is the void of the grave without His filling? How much louder are the echoes of our internal cries in the hollow shell of a lost soul? How much more fullness, abundance, and life are there to inhale when we ask our empty to be filled with His presence?
Our bodies are but hollow temples, soon to be ancient ruins, without the filling of the Holy One.
“Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit within you, whom you have from God?”
(1 Corinthians 6:19 ESV)

Do you want to be filled with the hope of heaven? Do you want to know the One who set eternity in your heart?
Call upon the name of Jesus. Invite His presence into your life. The Creator, Savior, and Lord of the cosmos has paved The Way to fill your earthly vessel with His glory.
Because God’s heart has always been bent toward dwelling with His children.
“And I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, ‘Behold, the dwelling place of God is with man. He will dwell with them, and they will be his people, and God himself will be with them as their God.’”
(Revelation 21:3 ESV)
